Uterine fibroids - The post-embolization
Once the embolization is finished, the catheter is removed and the puncture site compressed for 5 mn and a bandage is placed over the small hole.
A few patients may feel light to moderate pain, nausea or vomiting.
After placement of the bandage over the right inguinal zone the patient is taken to her room, where analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs are given, through the iv saline. Two hours after embolization the patients can go to the toilette.
A few patients may feel light to moderate pain, nausea or vomiting. The pain is measured by a scale pain.
