Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia - New Treatment - Diagnosis

In order to evaluate the degree of BPH the patients should perform a prostatic ultrasound by rectal approach, peak urinary flow,  PSA (Prostatic Specific Antigen) and PVR (Post Void Residual Volume). PSA is an important test to exclude malignancy. If it is above 4, prostate biopsy should be performed, in order to exclude malignant tumor.

Cancer is ruled out,BPH was diagnosed and PAE was performed. Is blood in the ejaculate normal for several weeks after the procedure? Is pain in the tip of the penis normal during ejaculation? Should prostatitis be evaluated?
